PT Gazell

PT Gazell is BACK!

Join him & the Gazell Harmonica Trio for our weekly Jazz Series!

No other player combines his phrasing, his melodic style, his song choices and his improvisational abilities… His singular style may draw comparisons to others, but in the end, it is a style all his own.

PT Gazell has spent his life on a self-styled musical journey. His continuing search means years of joy to come for fans of great music and great musicians. If the past is any indication one thing is for sure, this humble harmonica magician will continue to surprise and amaze us on stage and in recordings, and he will continue to spread joy every time he lifts his harp and plays.

Kelvin Armstrong

Join us for Sunday Sounds & Brunch!

This week we are featuring Kelvin Armstrong!

No cover charge.

Reservations encouraged but not required!

Kelvin Armstrong is a small town guy from Irmo South Carolina who is breaking the mold for the year 2015. His new project entitled, “In Due Time” is set to be released this fall with hit singles like “Peaches and Cream” and heart wrenching tracks such as “Falling”. Kelvin’s EP will soon gain the recognition of being 2015’s most sought after project.

Kelvin’s seed for music was planted by his father who played the sounds of Stevie Ray Vaughn, Dixie Hummingbirds and Curtis Mayfield smoothly on the guitar. Kelvin uses his musical gift and ability to touch the hearts of others which enables healing through his lyrical content. This allows him to go against the grain when sharing his life’s experiences with his fans.

There is no boxing Kelvin in. “Rock, Country and R&B in a bowl” is how his fans describe his music. His mission is to plant the seed of life, altering music to others just like it was planted in him. One song at a time.

Anne McCue has released 7 albums. She has played guitar on albums by such artists as Michelle Shocked and Robyn Hitchcock and has produced albums for Scott Miller, Ellen Starski and Emma Swift.
She is the host of the radio show Songs On The Wire on WXNA.

"I've been a fan of guitarist/singer/songwriter Annie McCue for many years so I'm very honored and happy about singing with her on a damn fine song for her upcoming album... You can't go wrong with such talent." -Dave Alvin

"I had done some gigs with Annie McCue out in California and thought that besides her phenomenal playing and great songs she had a unique presence. She has an angelic quality to her but also a Charlie Chaplin-esque vibe. Fearless and tender and alluring." -David Olney

Alternative Country icon Lucinda Williams has said of McCue: “Initially, her stunning voice hooked me in. Then I got inside the songs. The first chance I got, I went to see her perform . . . I was floored!"

Chris Moyse

Join us for Sunday Sounds & Brunch!

This week we are featuring Chris Moyse!

No cover charge.

Reservations encouraged but not required!

Moyse grew up playing bars in the Rockwell-esque towns of New England but says he feels more at home in Nashville. “It’s that weird thing where I was stuck in limbo there for a bit when I moved down here. I hadn’t been exposed to the South and I had to get used to even just how friendly people are. But the culture, the sounds of the city and the people and the food and the music, really seeped into my bones and grabbed a hold of me. I think a lot of that comes through in my music now.”

Songs like the opening track “Angeline” invoke this idea through a wiser-than-her-years teenager who finds herself taking care of her younger siblings and despondent mother after her father leaves them - but she has bigger dreams of moving to the west coast and becoming an actress. Or the more personal and moving “Highs and Lows”, which recounts a long night spent reflecting on a relationship that dissolved because of religious differences. Starting out with a lightly-plucked acoustic guitar and hushed vocals, the song opens up into a swelling string arrangement anchored by Moyse’s guitar and Kent’s piano.

As far as what’s next for Chris Moyse … “Shows. And more shows. There’s a lot of talk about not spreading yourself too thin and only doing a gig a month and that sort of thing.. I think at a certain point that may be realistic for me, but right now I just want to be writing songs, trying them out on stage, and getting better and getting the band tighter.” You can see him with his band or playing solo in Nashville, or catch him on tour in 2017. Check out his “Bad Parts EP” on Spotify, iTunes, or through his website.
